Safe schools, safe neighborhoods, and real community policing is what we deserve. Through partnerships and innovative solutions that build trust and transparency, we can do that. Gun violence prevention, community safety partnerships, and second chance re-entry resources are important to our community's prosperity.
We can build an educational system that supports learning from pre-K to career. Early education programs are important and so are vocational training programs through our high schools and community college. Affordable, accessible higher education and student-loan forgiveness for public service is well within our reach.
"Redlining" is an unacceptable business practice that disproportionately impacts communities of color but can be stopped. We must protect our property investments and create pathways to generational wealth.
